No you're not! ;) It's over rated and they're even on the adverts now, mobiles mainly. Everywhere. Seems that EVERYONE has it but I do not feel left out. I don't feel obliged to have one. It does create too many problems - the drama and especially when you recently broken up with someone. Ie: wasting time checking up on their page. It's just a waste of time and ppl spend at a lot of time into it and allow it to become part of their life. A male reader, The Realist

My gf and I are two people who don't and have never had facebook and we're proud of it. People waste so much of their time looking at things people that they call friends are doing when really there is no relationship between them. Plus there is far too many creepy people who will look at all your stuff. My philosophy is that if you want to be my friend we'll actually talk and at least see each other once and a while instead of only looking at pictures. I applaud anyone who doesn't follow the masses in what they waste there life on, good for you. I'm sure the friends you have are much closer than anybodies close friends they have on facebook. ............................... A reader, anonymous, writes (6 November 2010):
no no:) you're not the only one! i applied to facebook this summer, and i was fine without it! the only reason i got it is that i missed my friends, and i wondered what was going on with their lives. Facebook is boring, in my opinion at least. I barely use it. ............................... A female reader, Closet romance14

I had the same view as you and did not have it until recently. However, I realized that I was starting to lose touch with people because I didn't have it, and that is not what I wanted, so I got an account. Since you control who is your "friend" and who is not, it is easy to keep things like this under control. Further, you can control who sees what. In essence, you can have it as strict as you want or as liberal as you want. ............................... A female reader, mizz.butterflies

it causes too many problems.just 10 mins ago my friend called me and told me his friend found out her man has a secret FB that she had no knowledge of. on top of that,he has like 45 transexuals on his list! his girl knew about his weird fetish but now shes extra pissed about the facebook thing!! it annoys me that facebook is the TREND now, when some years ago we had myspace, and if u think about it didnt create that many problems! u can actually control the comments, messages, whatever on there. ............................... I had a fb but gave it up when my sister in law got drunk and called out my cheating bro. Needless to say her posts were entertaining to my friends, mortiifying to me. It could have been worse. Fb is fun for some but not all. ............................... A female reader, Reyna

I think Facebook is great for some people but i personally dont like it. I dont think i will ever make one because well i im not excited about everyone knowing my business. As far as it causing problems i guess it is true that is also why I stay away from it. ............................... A female reader, thewalkin'dude

You know what? I've often wondered that too. I've had facebook for about 3 or 4 years and to be honest it's caused more trouble than it's worth. If i could go back i would never have got an account on there. ...............................
